We all have our favorite Essential Oils right?

Well, these are my favorites for the spiritual side of my life. I just recently started meditating so that I can get a few moments of “Me time” whenever possible. And when I say meditating you are probably picturing me sitting cross legged, eyes closed with my hands held up in a trance like state like most people assume how meditation is. I could do that if I wanted to but I’m afraid that is just not me. I have my children running around me at all times asking for snacks and letting me know that the other child is not being fair and the dog is outside again barking at the neighbor. So as you see I don’t exactly fit the bill of your ordinary meditating person. Plus there are other ways to meditate.

What is meditation?

Start with this…. And write this down. Meditation is the art of opening to each moment with calm awareness. Are you writing it down? Now post it somewhere where you will see it every day. The purpose of meditation is to help you wake up. Wake up mentally that is. Ever feel like you are going through your everyday life on autopilot? That sounds like me. Well, me before I started doing this.

There are many ways to do so…

Like I said before, there are other ways to meditate besides the way in the picture above. Some people color or work on their garden as they meditate. Others just sit and feed the birds and enjoy being in nature. Oh wait that is me. 🙂 You can meditate in any way that you can that helps you quiet your mind and enjoy the stillness of the moment. Just do whatever works for you!

Ashley at has a wonderful article about Meditation and goes into depth more about it in her post. You can find it here!

On with the Essential Oils already…

I use 3 different oils all together in a diffuser or in a Roller Bottle so that I can roll onto my wrists, back of neck, bottoms of feet etc when I need to center myself and quiet my mind which seems to be all the time.

For the diffuser I put 3 drops of each.

For the Roller Bottle I use a 5ml bottle and put 6 drops of each oil and fill to the top with FCO (fractionated coconut oil).

I found the perfect Essential Oils for my “My Quiet Time”. I like to use doTERRA Balance Blend every morning and night to give me a sense of calmness and peacefulness throughout my day.  This Essential Oil is the one that I use the most.

What are the other 2 Essential Oils that I use?

Frankincense and Myrrh! I just love both of these oils for many reasons. And if you did not know yet that Frankincense is the “Go To Oil” for all of your needs now you know.

Frankincense Oil Product Description

Known as the king of essential oils, Frankincense has a variety of notable uses and benefits. This powerful essential oil is revered for its ability to beautify and rejuvenate skin when applied topically, and to promote cellular health and immunity and produce a healthy inflammatory response when taken internally,* among other benefits. With all of its many uses, there is no question as to why Frankincense was highly esteemed by ancient civilizations and used for the most sacred of practices. For some religions, Frankincense is correlated with one of the most prized possessions of ancient biblical times, as it was considered valuable enough to be given as a gift to Christ after his birth. Frankincense was also used during religious ceremonies for salves for soothing skin and perfume. The perfume or aroma that Frankincense emits promotes feelings of satisfaction, peace, relaxation, and overall wellness, which explains its unique value in ancient times. Just as in its treasured past, Frankincense oil is highly valued in the doTERRA community and continues to be one of the most popular essential oils.

FYI: This oil can be used in your face cream to remove age spots, acne scars and give your skin a radiant glow! I use the Hydrating Cream by doTERRA which has Frankincense in it. I won’t use anything else now that I found this.

The last Essential Oil I want to talk about but certainly not the least is Myrrh. Another biblical oil that has many uses and is perfect for creating a sense of calm when diffused.
